Key West trolley ride....questions.
Hello! I am a lurker, and have only posted a few times.
My friend and I are going on the Carnival Celebration July 14. I was looking at cheap, interesting excusrions for great photo ops. I think the trolley ride would be a great one for us. I saw on one site you can book it from that said you can get on and off as you please. Has anyone done this? Can you tell me how it works? How do they know you already paid?
Also, I wanted to see if my idea is correct.
I wanted to get on at the first stop then maybe get off near Key West Cemetary. Walk over there to it, take some pictures, walk back to the trolley stop and hop back on. I'm hoping thats what they mean by getting on and off as you please.
I would highly recommend a trolley tour for Key West. We were there in 2003 so I do not remember all of the details or the price but we loved it.
It was a narrated tour, very interesting and informative. We were able to get off and on at any spot we found interesting. I guess we had a pass to present, don't remember. It was easily walkable to the start of the trolley tour from the pier. I think we paid about $20-25 and doing it on own was cheaper than doing the formal excursion booked though Celebrity.
