alexandria shore excursions

I'm going on the Jade Dec 2010 and I'm trying to get any information or input on tours. Has anyone gone on a private tour and with who? Has anyone gone on the ship tour? I have read about Ramses tour but just not sure about paying cash. Any help or information :confused:
