When is your Next Cruise?

Princess is the "Love Boat," so for all you Princess lovers out there, when is your NEXT Princess cruise? Also - do you cruise "some" on Princess, "mostly" on Princess or "only" on Princess?

We'll be on the Sea Princess 11/25. First Cruise.

RE: When is your Next Cruise?

Will be on Ocean Princess 29 Oct-12 Nov, but will be doing QE2 Carib 22-27 Oct first - lots of time for comparing and hope to do a decent review of both - I realize it'll be perhaps unfair to compare the 2.
I've done Dolphin SeaBreeze (2x) & Ocean Breeze, Regent Sea, Carnival Tropicale (2x), NCL Wind, Crystal Harmony (fave).

Our cruse is 11\26 on the Grand. Our only other previous cruise was on Celebrity's Mercury. We're hoping the Grand is just as wonderful.

We will be on Sea Princess November 4, 2000. We sail mostly Princess but have sailed NCL Norway. Princess offers what hubby & I enjoy when sailing. We like the formal nights, service & general overall 'good taste' of Princess. We are made to feel like a 'king & queen' when we cruise with Princess. We just can't ask for a better cruise line.....

On the Grand 11/26 also....we've sailed on Princess 3 times previously, Sun 1996, Crown 1998 and the Grand 99. Carnival Elation 99. We always get a good price and we know what to expect with Princess. 79 days until we leave Alaska...but who's counting? :)

The only thing that makes me happier than meeting a first-time cruiser is meeting one going on a great ship. You made a good choice in going with quality for your first cruise. You're going to love it!

We are going on the Grand Princess 10/22. This will be our third cruise on the Grand and our 14th cruise overall - all with Princess. Obviously, we love Princess. Also booked on the Panama Canal repositioning and Mexican Riviera next year on the Ocean Princess.

I like the way you made the leap from the budgest ships to Crystal ;-) and I'll be very interested in how you like Princess.

Paul Motter September 5th, 2000 08:03 PM

RE: When is your Next Cruise?

I agree that when it comes to a consistency in quality it is hard to beat Princess.

RE: When is your Next Cruise?

Wow - you LOVE Princess, and there is nothing wrong with that -- but I wonder if you aren't just a little curious about other lines?

But the thing is -- once you get used to something you start to think "that is how it is supposed to be" and then when you experience something different it seems strange.

Going on Ocean Princess on 11/26/00. First time with Princess but have been on Celebrity 2 times, Carnival 2 times and Commodore Caribe 1 time. Looking forward to trying Princess.

RE: When is your Next Cruise?

My next cruise is 04/29/01 Ocean Princess, 22 days, San Juan - Vancouver. It's actually a 3-cruise repositioning (12-day Panama Canal, 7-day Mexican Riviera, and a 3-day Coastal). This is only our second cruise. The first was last May - Sun Princess, Alaska, northbound - Princess must have done something right!

I think I would try HAL and Celebrity at least once, and definately Crystal if I could afford it.

Sounds like the beginnings of a serious love affair with cruising.

RE: When is your Next Cruise?

We are going on the Dawn on Oct. 2 from L.A., continuing on to San Juan through the Panama Canal. We were on the Grand Transatlantic last May, The Mexican Riviera on the Regal last February, and The Hawaii-Tahiti run on the Regal last October. We haved loved them all. I hope the Dawn will be as nice as our other experiences on Princess. We have only sailed on Princess but would probably look at Celebrity or a big RCI, like the Voyager if the deal was too good to pass up. So far, though, our great experiences with Princess makes us lean very favorably toward sailing her. The wonderful ships, the food, and the personnel onboard make it difficult to consider any other line. I'm sure we will find out how the other ships operate someday, but for now it's definitely Princess. We are seriously considering Australia-New Zealand in the spring or the Transatlantic on the Golden next fall.

My wife and I are sailing on the American Hawii Independence February 24, 2001. This is the first ship we sailed on for an eclipse cruise. I fell in love with the ship and even though she may not be as fancy and have as many amenities I prefer sailing on her. I enjoy cruising on any ship but I prefer the older smaller ships. We are also going to try to book back to back Alaska cruises for June of 2001.

Dear Sue,
My husband and I will also be on the Nov. 4 cruise to the Western Caribbean. This is our first cruise on Princess. We also like the formal nights and good service. Our last cruise in april was on Crystal Harmony. It was fantastic, but Michael Sinn says we'll love this one too!
Hope to connect with you on board, at least to say "hello."

Our next Princess cruise is the Crown Princess 10/14/00 from Montreal to Ft. Lauderdale. We just returned from a wonderful crossing, Copenhagen to NYC, 8/9/00, on the same ship.
We cruise on 5 other cruiselines, but we do cruise Princess most of the time. Princess is not always perfect, but we always have a great time on their ships..

I know what you mean....I'm hesatant to try another line....and then spend the cruise wishing I'd booked Princess. It probably wouldn't happen, but...

RE: When is your Next Cruise?

We sail mostly with Holland America and love it...but like Paul Motler suggests, it's fun to do something different now and then. We are booked for back-to-backs on Ocean and are really looking forward to it. We've been on RCCL (didn't enjoy the Monarch); Celebrity Zenith several times and liked that and two previous times on Princess---Royal and Crown. We are so familiar with HAL, we feel we should branch out a bit.

We took our first Princess cruise last Thanksgiving on the Grand and now we're hooked on Princess!

We did the Med this year so that is it for us until 6/30/01 (Dawn Princess/Alaska), and then on 12/23/01 we're back to the Grand Princess for Christmas..... :)

Paul,

So far, I have cruised only on Princess in recent years (and a few times on Uncle Sam's Haze-Grey Fleet a few years ago....). One of these days, though, I probably will try both Celebrity and RCL for comparison.
