Patisserie

Hi everybody,

does somebody know how this patisserie place works? Does it work like a
regular bar where you pay for your beverages? Do you pay for pastries too?

Thanks much,
AC

Coffee and pastries are free. You have to pay for mixed or soft drinks. I'm not a coffee drinker, but my wife says the coffee is much better here than the dining room or the buffet. In the afternoon, try the marzipan.

AC,

The patisserie offers a variety of specialty teas ("Mint Smoother" is a favorite) and coffees, all free of charge. There's a tray set out with finger of pasteries baked on board, which also are free of charge.

The Patisserie's are great! I would try a different tea every day and the coffee is definitely WAY better than the buffet. I like coffee but haven't been on a ship yet that had decent coffee at their deck cafe. As much as I've written about being less than thrilled with the Crown's exterior and interior design, I had tea or coffee from the Patisserie every time I walked by (which was very often as my stateroom was just around the corner from there!) The marzipan is wonderful. I've never liked it anywhere else, but I couldn't get enough on Princess!
