Hi: I asked this one earlier but want to ask again. I am a musician with some talent I think. I have been playing for years (32) and would get a kick out of it if I could sit in with the band on a number or two. I promise I will not embarass myself or my wife. Has anyone ever seen someone sit in? What is "Talent Night" like? After looking at what my wife wants to pack I think I can forget about bring my guitar with me. Any advice is appreciated. Bob

I don't know much a about music, but I am sure you could ask the cruise director to be introduced to the Band Leader. Having met one, they are very professional. If he agreed to let you jam or join in, I have no doubt they would have the appropriate guitar for you to borrow. I once watched the "kids" practice for their part in the talent show, and a young teenager was doing quite well on a beautiful accoustic guitar. We usually prefer late dining and the talent show seems always to run before 8:30 or during our seating, so we have never gone to see a show.

Taking your guitar with you should be no problem since airlines regard a musical instrument as "professional equipment" that's not counted within the limit of three pieces per passenger and cruise lines don't impose restrictions on the quantity of luggage that you can bring aboard the ship.

Thanks Norm...lol...but I have just seen the list of stuff Sue (wife) wants to take. Oh boy, I may need an 18 wheeler. So far I have packed the corck screew...that about all I can fit but if I have a free arm, I will take the guitar, Will advise.
