erica,

MV Grand Princess is a spectacular ship, with so much happening that you won't have time to do everything that you might like -- even with three full days at sea! Typical daytime activities include:

>> Golf -- putting contests, putting course (nine holes), and course simulator

>> Swimming -- three public pools, lap pool with "swim against the current" feature, and pool games

>> Gambling -- bingo and casino

>> Bridge -- duplicate and party

>> Culinary, vegetable carving, and ice carving demonstrations

>> Tours -- bridge, galley

>> Other activities -- dance lessons, art auctions, shuffleboard tournaments, games, full spa services, full gym with modern equipment and aerobics room

>> Shopping

>> Plenty of open deck space and lounge chairs to relax in the sun

At night, there are quite a few options:

>> Three Live Shows (Princess Theater, Vista Show Lounge, and Explorers Cabaret)

>> Dancing (Live Band in Wheelhouse Bar, Disco)

>> Piano Sing-A-Long and Karioke

>> Casino

BTW, Princess's production shows are really spectacular!

I don't want to say too much, as that would spoil the surprise, but trust me -- you won't be bored!

Norm.

Hi Erika,
You should check out the "teen" secion here and also the "meet on board" to find other cruisers. Here are the links, enjoy:

Sounds like it may be a spring break time when you cruise, in that case there should be plenty of other teens to hang with, have fun!

erica,

Sorry -- I missed the fact that you are a teenager when I posted my earlier reply. There's also a teen center with lots of activities, video games, and even a teen disco. Don't worry -- you'll have a great time!

There probably will be a lot of teens aboard the ship during your sailing. The week when you are going is the week of school vacation in several states here in the Northeast by virtue of being the third week of April. It's also the "Easter Week" when a lot of schools in other parts of the country have their "Easter" vacation. The combination means that more families will be on vacation that week than usual.

Do have a great cruise!

Norm.

erika just wanted to let you know we will be traveling in the Grand the same week as you. Also two families with a total of 4 teenagers, my daughter is 16, two other girls ages 16 and 17 and one boy age 14.
My family went on the sea princess last spring break and my daughter thought it was the best vacation she had ever been on. You will love it. Make sure you go to the first night get together for the teens. That's when all the kids seem to group off with each other.

Hi Erika,
You may want to post on the "meet on board" here at cruisemates and also check out the teen center here, there's also a weekly teen chat on Sunday evening at 8:00PM EST thats a lot of fun. Enjoy your Grand cruise.
