We are going on the Sea Princess March 10th. We land in Fort Lauderdale at 8:00am on the day of the cruise. We will have lots of time until we have to be at the dock. Any suggestions on where
we (18 of us) can maybe get breakfast and anything else to pass the time.
Log onto sunny.org. This is supposed to be a Ft. Lauderdale Metro guide. I am traveling there the following week. So although I don't have the expereince, I have been doing some research. There is an area referred to as Las Olas (sic??), which has shops, water tours, restaurant's etc. The net including these forums is great to find out just what you are looking for and save you a lot of time and effort.
Also, check on Cruise Critic.com. Like this site, they have everying broken down by interest. I don't doubt they have one on ports. Good Luck.
Bon Voyage. The Sea is very nice and you will have a good time in the Western Caribbean.
Grab a cab to the pier and drop off your luggage. Then go to the Marriott Marina for breakfast. I didn't look to see if March 10 was a Saturday or Sunday but if it's Sunday they have a terrifc brunch. Then walk around the back of the hotel and have a look at the fabulous yachts berthed there. If you still have time, cab it to Las Olas Blvd and wander. It's a beautiful street not too far from the pier with loads of great shops.
