Default Western Caribbean Weather

Anyone back from the Sea Princess really recently? Or else hear any weather
reports? We will be leaving in the morning from Chicago, so anything will be an
improvement, of course. Just curious. Counting the minutes!!!!

We got off the Sea on 1/6. The weather wasn't good. Check this web site for current info.

We went on the Sea Princess last Feb. We had the best weather on that itinerary that we have ever had. Going on our 7th cruise, on the Dawn Princess to the southern Caribbean, Feb. 10th. Have a great time!

Normal weather in that region is high temperatures in the 80's (90's at Tulum if you take the shore excursion there -- so be sure to bring a big bottle of water from the ship and to drink from it frequently to prevent dehydration if you do that excursion). The weather is normally sunny, though you probably will encounter a shower or two somewhere along the way. Nighttime temperatures tend to be in the upper 60's, so you can go out on deck without a jacket.

With the abnormally cold temperatures thoughout the United States this winter, it's likely that temperatures in the northern part of the Caribbean also are a few degrees cooler than usual.

BTW, MV Sun Princess and each of her sisters ordinarily have an "Island Night" party in the main pool area on one evening of the cruise, so be sure to bring a tropical shirt for each gent and a tropical dress for ladies to wear that evening.

You're going on a fantastic ship. Have a great cruise!

Too late for Christine's info... and Princess Cays looked cloudy on the cam this morn...but the January 20-27 cruise weather was not great. It rained on our departure and the skies were cloudy except for our two days at sea. Excursions were cancelled in Ochio Rios and Cozumel because of rough seas.Still had a nice time but didn't keep a warm afterglow to help us through our Canadian winter!
