We are considering the Thanksgiving W. Carib. cruise on the GRAND with our
11 and 14 yo daughters....have been on Celebrity Galaxy and Carnival Triumph
with them over the Thanksgiving break, and they had a fabulous time on both.
Any reason to think they wouldn't enjoy Princess as much? We feel that if they
have fun, we'll have fun....What does anyone else think about this ship for kids??
Actually cruising during a school break you will find more kids, should not be a problem. The kids will be so busy, you won't see than and you can also enjoy the trip. We cruised on Ocean during last spring break and I was suprised to see so many families, kids, etc, it was great!
Pat - I couldn't agree with you more. When our kids are happy, we're happy. Our sons, ages 9 and 10 1/2, had a blast on the Grand last May. They give out the nicest prizes!! I wanted to join the kids' program just to win some of these neat things! We almost had to bring another suitcase for the load of stuff they won.
Their favorite activities were Gambling Night, the Connect Four Tournements, and the scavenger hunts. They give out medals for winning these games. They look like something an Olympic athlete would win. We were really impressed with the staff (a brother and sister team), who seemed older and more mature than the other cruises' camp counselors that our sons have had.
We had such a great time, we are going back on the Grand for it's very first Western Caribbean itinerary in 5 1/2 weeks. If you have any more questions, please feel free to e-mail me.
p.s.- Your girls will have a GREAT time! The teens have the neatest areas all to themselves. We never saw 1 teen the whole week.
