Ship time and port time question

I was wondering about the times at Grand Cayman. They are not on Daylight Savings, so on the Western Caribbean iteniary Princess shows us ariving at 7:00 AM and Departing at 5:00 PM. Is this the local time of the port or something else?

Re: Ship time and port time question

We took the Western itinerary last week, and that is the local time of the port. Have a great time! (We took the ultimate submarine dive down 800 feet along the Cayman wall. Fabulous!)

Re: Ship time and port time question

Ed,

Most ships arrange to set their clocks to local time before arrival in each port of call. Thus, local time and ship's time usually coincide while you are in port.

Norm.
