Default Marriott Harbor Beach Resort

We are deciding between this Marriott and the Embassy Suites. Has anyone been to this Marriott and if so, was it nice? Thanks.

The Marriott is a world class resort with great restaurants and a wonderful beach, a huge swimming pool anda really nice lobby. Stay there if you can.It is, without a doubt, the best place to stay in Ft Lauderdale. The Yankee Clipper next door, is an old, tired 60's hotel with travelodge sized swimming pools, a PUBLIC beach and a terrible restaurant. If you can book on line, you can get an AARP rate for about the same as the Yankee rate.

Haven't stayed at the Embassy nut we are there next Saturday night.Ted wrote:

Ted...WE just got back from the Grand Princess and stayed at the Harbor Beach Marriott. Do yourself a favor...stay there!!! It is just fantastic. Great food, Private Beach...Private pool area with palm tress, food, and outside bar, tennis courts. Just like paradise. Rooms are great, the view from the balconies senssational and the food in their restaurants, second to none. To us, the $159 was definetly worth the price. What's a few extra dollars for the room when you're paying so much for the cruise anyway.
