Default embarkation

Once checked in, is it possible to leave the ship. We are boarding on
our Alaska cruise from Seward, and hope to get there early, but the
ship doesn't leave until 10:00PM.. Can we get off and tour Seward a little.

Yes you will be able to get off the ship and check out Seward.

Hi Gloria,
Yes, you can get off, but be sure to carry your cruise card with you, that will get you back onboard, have fun.

gloria,

Yes, you're free to get off. On embarkation day, though, most folks really seem to want to get settled, get lunch, find their way around the ship, unpack, and perhaps rest after a very early morning -- especially ship's time -- to travel. I recommend against making ambitious plans for embarkation day unless you have been through the drill before and know what to expect.

Norm.

It's actually impossible to get off the ship without your cruise card. However, this brings up a question I''ve never seen - What happens if you loose it onshore? I thing I'll start a new thread.

But remember, embarkation day is the first of the paid days of your cruise. Start enjoying your time onboard.
