We were just upgraded from a J category inside cabin to FF category on the Grand in September. Cabin # is E420. Although brochure says this category is fully obstructed, it seems our window is between two lifeboats. Has anyone had this situation? Exactly what will we be able to see?

I was upgraded to an obstructed view on the Sea Princess. Because there are life boats (various parts of life boats) in front of each room - no room has the same view.
We were able to see above the life boats but it wasn't a great view. You will see sun light and may be able to see around the lifeboats. It is better than an inside room. Also - becareful to keep the curtains closed when changing clothes, etc. . As part of daily or every other day maintenance - employees are required to check each life boat. We often saw employees right outside our window checking on the life boats - it scared me once. |
