Princess Cuts Two Glacier Bay Calls
Princess is the first cruise line to announce itinerary changes in Alaska. In light of a federal court ruling last week that reduces cruise ship calls at Glacier Bay, Princess loses just two slots -- not bad, considering the line has five ships operating in Alaska this season. Those are? One voyage each on Sea Princess’ (August 25) and Sun Princess (August 27) will bypass Glacier Bay. Passengers won’t miss out entirely -- instead the ship will call at Hubbard Glacier, an awesome spectacle in its own right.
The $6.15 entry fee for Glacier Bay that affected passengers have paid will be refunded, Princess says.
I'm really sorry. You're hitting a good time of year to see plenty of calving (hopefully, warmer weather) - so Hubbard should be quite a spectacle. Don't worry, you'll have a wonderful time!
