Default First time on Princess

We have cruised 15 times, mostly on RCCL and Carnival. We will be going on the Golden 10-27-01. We are a little nervous. What can we expect? I would love to hear anyone's opinion. We just returned from doing the Explorer - fantastic! Does the Golden compare? Please resdpond. Thank you.

Hi Wblhdu,
Wasn't the Explorer cruise great? We just loved it. Princess is a bit more laid back, not as much activities as Explorer, but very classy. Princess is still a fun cruise, just different, in fact I think Voyager/Explorer don't compare to, just 2 different cruising expierences.

Glad you enjoyed Explorer. I'd love to hear about your Golden cruise, we don't go on Golden until Dec, so looking forward to your feedback. Have Fun!

You will love Princess. I was on Golden in June and loved everything about it. Have not been on Explorer but have been on Legend and loved it too, You will not be disappointed in the Golden. Helen.

I, too, will be sailing on Princess for the first time (brand new Star Princess) in March to the Mexican Riviera. I've only sailed on Carnival before. While, I enjoyed those cruises, I'm ready to try something else. People tell me Princess is more refined, but not necessarily NOT fun---just a little different style. I think I'm at a stage in my life where I can appreciate this "not-so-much-in-your-face-kind-of-fun". Anyway, just my 9 year old daughter and I will be sailing on Star Princess during Spring break, so I hope there will be some kids her age to mingle with. As for me, give me a good book and a lounge chair on the deck! Or I also hear Princess is big on trivia games! I can go for that!

Lindsay,

There's an adage in the cruise industry that "Carnival throws a wild party, but Princess throws a classy party."

Enjoy!

Norm.

We are also booked on our first Princess cruise on the Star Princess next April. We have cruised Carnival, RCI, Celebrity, HAL, and NCL and can't wait to try Princess. We are so jazzed!
