Default Christmas Cruise

Looking for some advice. We are thinking of a big family Christmas cruise for next year. Which cruise do you think would be best to take? The age range is from 63 to 2 1/2 with just about everything in between. Princess is one of the few lines that could accomidate the 2 1/2 year old.

Jenny,
Yes, Princess would be a good line, any of the "sun" class ships are wonderful and also Grand/Golden. You may also consider RCCL's Voyager/Explorer and Adventures of the seas. This ships offer so much expecially for families and all ages of cruisers. There is just so much to see and do on these ships. Also, when cruising during school breaks you will find the most kids/families also cruising. Have fun with the planning, almost half the fun!

Jenny,

If you can swing the time off for a 10-day cruise, Princess's "Southern Caribbean Medley" of 20 December aboard MV Dawn Princess would be absolutely fantastic! This itinerary would be in Barbados on Christmas day. This cruise operates round trip out of Fort Lauderdale, so the air fare should be pretty reasonable. This cruise would end on 30 December.

My second choice would be the "Southern Caribbean Explorer" cruise from San Juan aboard MV Sea Princess on Saturday, 21 December.

MV Grand Princess and MV Golden Princess also offer seven-day cruises out of Fort Lauderdale, but they don't go quite as far south and they have fewer ports of call. MV Star Princess will offer cruises on the Mexican Riviera out of Los Angeles.

Would you care to consider the Panama Canal? MV Regal Princess has a 9-day itinerary from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, to Puerto Caldera, Costa Rica, departing on 21 December.

If you're interested in a real adventure, consider the 14-day "Austrailia-New Zealand" cruise aboard MV Sun Princess on 15 December. It will be summer in the lands "down under!"

Norm.
