Grand/Golden Comparisons

Looking for people who have sailed on both the Grand and Golden for a report that I am doing on both ships. Specifically, what differences did you notice if any?

I have sailed on The Grand and know they are sister ships. Did you notice any differences at all?

Thanks to all who reply

I believe the Golden has a different Atrium - a better atrium.

Dear Paula,
We took a trans-atlantic last summer to the mediterrean on the Grand and it was GRAND. We too are traveling on the Golden for the first time. I have read there are improvements. Like stairs where it was difficult to get to certain ares on the Grand it is now easy to do so. I too heard the atrium is even more spectacular. I'm excited! How about you?!

Hi Paula,

I have clients that just returned on The Grand and were amazed at how beautiful she still is. I tell all my clients that Princess is number one in keeping their ships in perfect condition. The towels my be more fluffy on the golden because she is new. I have sailed on The Grand 4 times but wont be on The Golden until January. If you want to email me direct about your report I have pictures, videos and slide shows of The Grand that may be useful to you.

I just got off the Royal, launched in 1984. Still in great shape, except for the gash in her stern which will be fixed in dry dock after she finishes her fall cruises to New England/Canada.
