We just booked a cruise on Crown Princess for Dec. 7,2001, any one have any idea what kind of weather we can expect in Tahiti? In Hawaii I know how the weather is, but in Tahiti I know it is hot and humid in late Jan. Feb. but we weill start the cruise in Tahiti so it will be early Dec. Thanks for the help.
Your weather will be hot, humid and maybe a little rainy, but it clears up fast. Tahiti is the least desireable of the Society islands. Try to get to Moorea, Riahiti, Taah, or Bora Bora. WE just got back from one of the last Ren cruises. Loved it!... teh water is spectacular and teh people are so polite and grateful to have you there. They treat you like thier guests. They were refreshing! Contact me if you have specific questions. KG
Thanks Don and Karen for the information.
Don, the weather site is great/
Karen, we were supose to go on Ren. Cruise Jan. 22, needless to say we aren't. Heard their cruises were great. We are only going to Papeete, Moorea and Bora Bora. Any sugestions on good tours there? Do they still have a great show at Papeete a couple blocks from the pier?
The Ren cruise was the best we have ever had out of 9 cruises) so sad taht they are gone. Hiro will be on the dock the day youarrive in Tahiti and he books excellent tours for Moorea and Bora Bora, much cheaper than the ship. We are water sports people and did alot of snorkeling, scuba etc. but teh 4x4 trips on Moorea are great! Tahiti does have shoes near teh port but we didn't go. Ren native dancers on board ship two nights sowe got to see that on board. People are wonderful. You will love it!
Thanks for the info. Where was the best snorkeling? On Ren. we would have spent 2 days each port, This one will only be one and we want to do the 4x4 tours plus my Husband wants to snorkel. He may have to end up choosing one or the other. I understand you can exchange money right near the pier, true or not?
