I just bid on Priceline.com for $50.00 for November 29th and 30th and my bid was accepted at the Embassy Suites on 17th Street.
Has anyone stayed here and did you like it? Also, what kind of resturants, ect... are in within walking distance? Is the area nice? How about the pool area?
I'm sure it will be great, and you can't beat $50.00/night! I had a room for 89.00 a night at the comfort inn previously - and i'm sure this hotel is 3 times nicer!
Just looking for opinions from people who have stayed here!
We are staying there Nov. 16 for 1 night pre-cruise. There is some shopping near-by for last minute purchases. I plan to grab some waternad cokes before we board.
You can check out a thread on cruisecritic.com it is on the Princess page. Princeline/embassy suites. Maybe this will help.

There is an Outback Steak House right across the street from the Embassy Suites. There are also a number of restraunts along 17th, including Hops - a pretty neat place to go with some good food.
If it's the Embassy Suites located near the dock in Ft. Lauderdale, it's not bad at all. It isn't a Four Seasons, but it's clean, comfortable, and nice. They offer a free buffet breakfast. Restaurants are rather limited, but food is good. Rooms are spacious enough equipped with extra amenities that are a real plus and quite unexpected.
Embassy Suites is in a great location and has many restaurants with in walking distance, from mexican to steak from Outback to HOPS. Shopping is directly across the street and it is a 2 minute ride to the pier.
Just did it the other day, boy it was soooo easy. For the Embassy suites I put in for the fort lauderdale zone, Not the beach zone. Wish you the best of luck. By the way we got the Embassy Suites for 55.00 so with taxes, and processing fee it came to 68.00 can't beat that their website says it goes for 249.00 per night!!!
