I am wondering why BD and BE cat balcony cabins on the Ocean Princess cost much less than BA, BB and BC cat balcony cabins. I have 2 BD cabins reserved for February and just curious why these are so much less expensive. Could it be because they are on Caribe Deck as opposed to Baja? Thanks C.
A lot of the time the difference in price has to do with the location of the cabins. You will notice the price gets higher as you go higher on the ship, also mid-ship/non-mid ship is also a little more. They are usually all the same cabin size and ammendities, so you decide where on the ship you'd rather be. Usually there is a little less movement when you are mid-ship, but have also been towards aft and didn't notice any major rolling. When we were on Ocean in fact we were 6 cabins up from the aft section with a BB cabin.
When we booked our February cruise on the Ocean, the BD and BC cat. were selling for the same fare. We booked a BC and was upgraded to a BB, exact same cabin just different location (deck higher). I believe there is currently a promo on BE and BF cats.
