I have such mixed feelings about this restaurant. Sailed on the Golden on 12/8 and first thing after boarding stood in line (45 minutes) to make to bookings at the restaurant. One was for brunch and I can't tell you how great that was! Since I usually sleep late and miss breakfast, I adore brunch. It combines the breakfast that I've missed and the lunch I would like to have.
Sabatini's brunch is glorious. You are treated to a variety of drinks: Bloody Marys, Wine, Mimosas, etc., all included and as many (I assume) as you want. The cold buffet is splendid and overflowing with a huge variety of seafood: Shrimp, Scallops, Sushi, Salmon, Salads...The salmon was so silky and fresh and served with all the usual goodies: capers, onions, chopped egg--totally TDF! Crab legs were split to expose all the lucious meat; total enjoyment, minimum work. Shrimp were SO large and sweetly fresh with a perky sauce and lemon to accompany.
After the largesse of the cold table (and you can go back and back and back), it was time for the more brunch-like eggy things. These are served at table with many flourishes. I had scrambled eggs along with small boiled new potatoes filled with cavier and creme freche (sp). There is a choice of several hot egg-type dishes. This is too good.
The brunch gets five stars and the charge of $15 plus tip seems a pitiful small price to pay for such amazing food.
Nighttime review later. Clue: Stick to the brunch.
