I thought I read somewhere on this message board that you can carry your own luggage on board. We are sailing on the Ocean Princess on the 29th of January. Since we will already be in Florida is it possible to carry all our luggage on ourselves?
It depends on how much you have. If you can carry it on in one load, do it. If not, just tip a longshoreman and let him do it. Just take a change of clothes, bathing suit, etc. in case your luggage gets to you late. It will be onboard though.
If princess is like other cruise lines, your luggage has to fit into the scanners ( like the airports have). If it doesn't fit they will not let you bring it with you, you have to bring it back out and have it delivered to you.
