We (9 family members!) are booked on the Royal Princess Panama Canal cruise round trip from Ft. Lauderdale on April 12. I would appreciate any information you all may have on this ship and/or this itinerary.
I'm specifically interested in the day the ship goes through the Canal. Are there any chances to get off the ship that day?
Also, what are the laundry facilities on board like?
And one last question, my almost 18YO and my 3 year old will be with us. Any information on what programs may be available for them?
I sailed RP on a New England/Canada cruise last fall and on the Panama Canal cruise back when she was a new ship. I love her more than any other ship afloat, what a gorgeous classic she is. I don't remember what the children's facilities were like years ago and they won't have anything for kids unless there are a certain amount onboard. She is a very easy ship to navigate due to her size. Food is terrific, service is wonderful. She doesn't have many of the amenities the newer ships do, but I never cared.
