Default Getting on and off the Sun Princess

I have booked my flight from Boston to Ft. Lauderdale for my self & 9 others. The ship is the Sun Princess going to Panama Canal on 15 April 2002. The flight will arrive at 10:40AM and depart at 11:10AM. The ship will depart at 5:00PM [10 day RT to Panama Canal] and arrive in Ft. Lauderdale at 6:00AM.
Can we get off in time to make this flight?
Also what are the required dress nights.

From the airport to the port is a very short distance , your times should be fine. Make sure you communicate your need for priority diembarkation and you should be fine. On the arrival side, go straight to the port, no matter what time your paperwork says for embarkation, you will be able to get on the ship.
Your cruise should have two formal nights and the rest are what princess now calls "smart casual". Formal nights can vary a bit with itinerary, but are usually the second night out and the next to last night.
Enjoy your cruise.

You might even get bored having to sit around the airport so long.

Henry,

I recommend purchasing your transfers from Princess since the price ($5 per person each way) is very reasonable. The airport is about five minutes by bus from the pier, so it should be no problem to make your return flight. Also, make sure that your travel agent provides your flight schedules to Princess. Passengers who do not purchase transfers through Princess generally have to wait aboard ship until after the passengers with early flights have disembarked.

When Princess issues luggage tags for disembarkation, there's a special color (usually red) for passengers who purchased transfers from Princess and have early flights. Alert the members of your group to check the color of their luggage tags when they arrive and to swap them at the Purser's Desk if they receive the wrong color, as occasional mix-ups can happen when one is dealing with 975 passenger cabins.

Norm.

We were sequesterd after check in until 12 noon on the dot. Diembarking was slow Norm is correct they did give out red tags for passengers who had flights. Everyone was in the Atrium waiting for customs to clear the ship...some stragler passengers who didn't report in when notified held everyone up until approx 10 AM. Security is very tight (which is good) bring lots of patience and NO booze in your carryon ( check it with your luggage) they were taking the wine ect out of carry ons.

What do you mean by sequesterd after check in until 12 noon on the dot. We will be at the ship at about 11:00 AM. Can we check in then?
