Default Changes to the Princess Kids Program?

I read somewhere that Princess was re-vamping their kids program. Does anyone know what knid of changes they are planning and when they would go into effect (I'm on the March 3rd sailing on the Grand Princess)? Thanks.

Nothing is being put in place for the new re-vamped kids program until the first sailing in May. The new program is in the Princess cruise and answer book for 2002. If you have a kids that are still 2 years old before May sailing, they can still participate in the kids program. After March the kids have to be 3 years or older to take part in any of the programs including babysitting. You can also call 1-800-PRINCESS and they will fill you in. Have a great time!

Ian,

There's a paragraph about it on the "Activities" page of the Princess web site. I suspect that the staff are still working out some of the details, and that more information will be forthcoming in the form of an official announcement or press release. The other rumor is that the revised program will divide participants officially into three age groups, whereas the present program officially has only two -- "Princess Pelicans" (ages 2-12) and "Princess Teen Club" or "PTC" (ages 13-17). The reality is that the counsellors have always split out these groups by the ages of the participants so that, for example, ten-year-olds were not doing the same activities as five-year-olds, though the divisions might vary from one cruise to the next depending upon where the gaps in the ages of the participants in each group happen to fall.

Norm.
