Default Post-Cruise Ft. Lauderdale Hotel

I'm looking for a good post-cruise "decompression" hotel for a night in Fort Lauderdale before flying home. I'm probably going to go through Priceline, so instead of asking what's good, I'm really asking if any of the below properties are a definite "no" in terms of being of comparable quality and desirability to the others:

Marriott Marina
Sheraton Yankee Clipper
Doubletree Suites Galleria
Doubletree Oceanfront

Comparing the above to the Embassy Suites, basically comparable, with the latter 3 given an extra couple points for being on/near the beach rather than the port?

I appreciate any and all comments!

Amber

The only one I'm familiar with it the Marriott Marina and it is very nice. You can't go wrong if you book there.

We got the Renessiance through Price Line for $76. It was a great hotel, very new, clean, pleasant staff, convenient location.

We are also going to be staying post cruise at the Renessiance (at a much higher price though, $219) and I was wondering how the pool area is as that is where we plan to relax on the last day of our vacation. Is it really nice? Can you order lunch and drinks poolside?

Thanks...Terri

The pool is average sized. After 7 days by the pools on the Grand, another pool really didn't do much for me. I didn't see anyone with drinks or food poolside. The bar/lounge area is just inside from the pool area though.

Amber,

We saw special price of $129 at the Renaissance in the Princess catalogue and jumped on it for a one day post-cruise stay. Leaving a day later saved us considerably on our airfare. (although not quite enough to pay for the room). Incidentally,
they have a boffo restaurant called Bistro 17 there too.
