My husband saw a piece on NBC news about Ryan Airlines in Europe. They are an unbelievable inexpensive airline. They offer fares anywhere from $10-$40 US one way from what I understand. I went to the website www.ryanair.com and it seems to be true. I will be honest and say I don't know the exchange rate for the pound and Euro but if it's true a Med cruise might become affordable as those one way fares will kill you every time. Ryan air flys 737's (new ones). Does anyone know any info about this airline.
I am not sure how long they have been established but they have been around several years, they have just had a press conference in the u.k announcing that they have ordered several new planes and have the option on several more and hope to be larger then British Airways in a few years so they seem like they financially stable and will be around for quite sometime, they are one of the main budget airlines in the U.K, I would think they are trying to crack the U.S. market so are offering unbelievable prices which i would think are correct, although probably will increase as they become more popular in the U.S.
RyanAir is a UK based airline and is the US equivalent of Southwest Airlines here in the states. Our local New Jersey paper on Friday January 25th reported that RyanAir has just inked a deal with Boeing for 150 new 737 aircraft in a deal worth $9.1 billion dollars US currency. Go Boeing.
