Booking Shore Excursions

I've got a question regarding booking the shore excursions on the internet. My pre-cruise package Adventures Ashore Tour Reservations say that reservations close January 29/02. If we book all of the excursions we "think" we want now and then change our mind when we are on the cruise, can we cancel or are we committed to the bookings we made?

You can cancel any excursion if done by the closing date for the excursion. Usually, it is noon of the day before the excursion. It will be credited to your account.

On our last Princess cruise we were able to reserve on-line and cancel on the ship with no problem.
