Default Advice from parents of teens.

Hi There

I have booked a cruise on the GRAND for August 18th 2002 and after reading and reading I am in need of reassurance.
I have a 14 year old, and last year we were on RCCL's VOYAGER. She had a wonderful time with all the teens there.
Will there be teens on the GRAND in late August? I am now reading that it is an 'older' crowd on Princess. I thought that was Holland America.

So parents of teens --- did your children enjoy the GRAND?

Hi Anita,
We were just on Golden over New Years and as long as its a school break there will be lots of kids, don't worry. I'm sure in August there will still be kids not in school, so no it will not be the "older" crowd people were referring to. The kids I saw were all having a wonderful time, bet yours will too.

My teens (14 and 15) LOVED their time on Grand this past Christmas. There were 160 teens between 13 and 17 on the cruise. Princess is one of the few that has a separate "teen area" with their own hot tub and area to hang out. It wasn't the organized activities so much (altho they had those too) but the idea that teens were considered an important audience. Before this, we were on Ocean Princess, and the program was equally good. It's not Carnival or RCL, but my kids ADORE Princess, and we're already booked our Christmas cruise for 2002.

Hope this helps!
