I've taken several cruises on Princess, Holland America, Celebrity and have found that the slot machine payout in all the ship's casinos was very tight in comparison with Nevada casinos and the Indian casinos in Calif. Is this the experience of you other cruisers, too? I'm booked for an April sailing on the new Star Princess (sister of Grand and Golden) and wonder what type of slots are on these ships. Are there any Blackjack slots? Or any that play games such as Monopoly, Jeopardy, etc?
What?????? You mean to tell me the slots onboard ships actually PAY OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is why it's called gambling. It's a gamble. But.........that being said.... I took Celebrity for $2700 net total on the quarter slots in December.
I gave it all back to them by booking two cruises on Zenith in January!!
Yeah, they are tight...worse than the Mirage in Vegas.... and they ARE TIGHT!!
Our only real luck was on the Carnival Victory where my wife won two "jackpots" on the quarters and they paid for the cruise. On that ship, I never saw so many jackpots. Some nights you could not find an empty machine. My wife was up two nights until 3:00 on them. A headache and sore back chased me back to the ca bin a lot earlier. I doubt if you will find jeopardy on any of the ships. That is a progressive which is generally linked to other casinos on land. Anyway, good luck, you need it in the ship casinos.
