i would like to hear from anyone that has gone on the golden princess and what excursions they liked or did not like. there are 8 of us going in april and we are trying to arrange what we want to do. thank you much
We did the America's cup Regatta in St. Maarten, highly recommend it for those who enjoy sailing. I was quite amazed at all the elements that is involved in sailing a boat like that while racing, it was well worth the time and money. It also helps that we did win by a nose, was a great feeling and some work involved, but if you choose to just be a "cheerleader", thats fine too. The pic here is the winning team.
If you are into beaches, swimming and snorkeling a trip over to St. Johns from St. Thomas is always a great way to spend a day if you haven't already seen St. Johns. You can do a ship tour or go it on your own very easily. Just grab a cab by the pier and have the driver take you to Red Hook Ferry, once at St. Johns a short cab ride to Trunk Bay or any of the other beaches there, truly a paradise you should see once. If you'd rather just have a nice beach day without the travel, you can get a cab and go to Meagans Bay, not any decent snorkeling, but another beautiful beach.
You can also check out the excersions on-line at the Princess web-site,<http://www.princess.com/home.jsp> and read more about what they offer.
