Planning for parents 50th anniversary

My sisters and I would like to send my parents on an Alaskan cruise for their 50th wedding anniversary. I have read some reviews on Princess and have read mixed reviews about the CruiseTours compared to the regular cruise. None of us have been on a cruise, so I was wondering what the opinion is. Which is better and gives you more of an "Alaskan experience"? Any comments would be appreciated. Thanks.

I think the perfect way for you all to spend your 50th would be a two week(ish) cruisetour on Princess. If you have never been on a cruise, what would be greater than starting on the brand new Star Princess. It's a brand new ship with more amenities than you can dream of. If you book, try to get Star Princess. Cruise foe seven days and see Alaska's interior. It's wonderful.
