Default Passenger Talent Show

Hi,
My husband and I are sailing on the Ocean Princess in June. Do they have a passenger talent show? If so, does anyone know the logisitics of that? I belly dance at about the level of a cruise ship talent show participant (I'd guess
and I'd love to know whether to take my costume with me and how long a music tape to prepare, if they audition or it's just a sign-up

Rachel

Hi Rachel -

We were on the Ocean Princess in December and they did have a passenger talent show the last night of the cruise. I know they had sign-ups and practice a day or so before. We missed that show, but on our last cruise, the talent had a few minutes - about the length of a song - but I guess it would likely depend on the act. I say go for it!!!

Have a great trip!!

Does anyone know if the Grand has a passenger talent show? Can't recall one in 4/01, but if they do I don't want to miss it in 4/02!

There have been talent shows on my most recent Princess cruises. You have to sign up, bur from what I understand they do audition you too to make sure it is appropriate (eg. there really is "talent," not offensive, not the same thing 5 other people are doing). I've never seen a belly dancer and doubt you would have much competition on board in that department so I suggest you bring your costume and prepare a tape, maybe 4 minutes long (or be prepared with other lengths just incase), and be ready to wow your fellow passengers!

Absolutely - go for it!! The recent talent show on Sun Princess lasted about 15 minutes (4 performances). You'll be the star of the show!

On the Grand Princess last month there was a talent show. No auditions, just a sign up and practice time. Go for it... you'll have a blast!
