We are considering the BF balcony cabin Caribe deck on Sea Princess (Alaska);
our first time. Anyone been in these BF cabins?
Appreciate advice if these cabins are too close to the front to be concerned about
motion sickness or noise, etc.
Which is recommended: front balcony OR mid-ship outside, no balcony
if front balcony is quoted at cheaper rate?
For Alaska, I definitely want a balcony. The scenery is spectacular almost non-stop and you won't get the same perspective in a regular outside room. However, if you are the type of person that only stays in your cabin to sleep and if you are always out on the public decks, an outside cabin may be just fine. We have only done Alaska once (the inside passage) and plan to do The Star Princess in August (Vancouver to Seward). We reserved balcony cabins for each. However, I can't speak for the BF category cabins as we have never stayed in one but on our last trip to Alaska, the waters were so calm, we hardly knew we were at sea. As I said before, we did the inside passage which you will be doing on The Sea Princess. Have a wonderful trip.
Hey! The balcony cabins in Cat BA and BB on the caribe deck are awesome! The balconies are twice the size of standard balconies! Hopefully you will be upgraded, we booked a caribbean cruise on the Golden for Dec. in a Cat BD and low and behold, I logged in to the website and we got into a BA! Good Luck and have a wonderful time in Alaska.
