Does anyone know if the dining staff on the Grand has a problem giving you more than one entree or double portions at dinner. When I sailed on Carnival, they served everything I asked for with a smile. When I tried the same thing on Royal Carribean, they wouldn't do it, except the night we had lobster tails, I asked for a steak and lobster tails(Two different entrees) and got HALF of a lobster tail.
On our last Princess cruise our waiter told us that he could not ask us if we wanted seconds on anything, but he would surely find us some if we were to ask. He said it was the company's way to economize a little. Phyll
on our trips on grand and golden, we were extended every courtesy, and given anything, including steak and eggs for breakfast(that RCCL had refused to serve me on our last cruise with them).i have sailed with RCCL, and celebrity and princess, and found princess to be the most accomidating of any cruise line, and would reccomend them without hesitation.
On our cruise on the Grand this past April, when my wife ordered lobster... our waiter, Francesco, said "No problem" with a twinkle in his eye. He brought two lobster tails for my wife without even being asked.
They never seemed reluctant to bring you more or let you try something to see if you liked it. Two desserts became the norm for me. (grins)

On RCCL they actually ran out of alot of different food during my last cruise. The funny thing was it ended up being food our kids ate like peanut butter and banana sandwich. They could not find a banana. They even ran out of chocolate icecream on the last night when my kids wanted a scoop instead of a fancy dessert. There were other things they ran out of too that had the whole table laughing.
