Default Cabin under deck chairs or in the bow?

I am geting a balcony on the royal princess. My only choices for the balcony I can afford is either midships under deck chairs or in the bow. Has anyone heard the deck chairs when they have been below them? And at the other end, is the England waters rough, and would I hear the anchor in the bow. Any info is appreciated.

Cynthia,

I have never heard noise from the pool area, etc., even when staying on the deck immediately below, during any cruise aboard any Princess ship, so I would not let that be a concern.

Last year, I rode MV Royal Princess through a royal gale on the North Sea. She rode beautifully, her stabilizers countering the seas so we felt very little motion. The only real indication of the weather was the difficulty opening the doors that lead onto her weather decks, especially on the windward side of the ship.

Have a wonderful cruise!

Norm.

thanks SO much for your reply Norm. I have decided on port side. It is 2 cabins back from the very front of Midship on the Aloha Deck of the Royal. It looks like it is partially under the Princess Suite and the very corner of the pool deck. SO hopefully no one decides to throw parties there. :-) Thanks again for your help!!
