Default Canadian cruise agents??

We are looking to book Star Princess next Feb. or March for Mexico. We would appreciate any on-line or regular travel agents that any of you could recommend as offering good service and good prices. Thanks.

We are in the process of booking a cruise for January and have been dealing with Sears travel and have been happy. We have used them for a previous cruise as well as other vacations and everything has always been great. They also have a special once in awhile (on now) to cruise and then pay later. I think it is great, it either gives you a little extra time to save money or the money sits in your account and draws interest. We have had no complaints with them.

We used CruiseShipCenters for last January's trip. Our T/A was quite good so we used her again to book (coincidentally) for Star Princess for next March. Good luck and I'm sure you will enjoy your trip. First cruise?.

I used to use Sears also because of the Sears Club Points and they usually have the clout to back you up if you have a problem. However, I have recently switched to the
Cruise Professionals located in Mississauga as I discovered that Sears and CAA only quote you wholesale prices. The Cruise Professionals belong to the Giants and Vertuoso consortium so they give you better prices, onboard credit and bonuses. They quoted a recent cruise for me that was $800.00 less per person than either Sears or CAA. Cruise Professionals was recently named as one of the 112 Best Travel Agents
in the August 2002 issue of Conde Nast Traveller magazine. Pick it up at Chapters or Indigo. I am not a travel agent or any way connected with the travel industry just a cruise
happy person that likes to get the most for my hard earned money.

Geesh! Sorry! I tried to correct my post and it repeated itself. The point I wanted to correct and clarify was that Sears and CAA charge Retail prices not wholesale prices as I mistakenly typed in my first reply and that is why I no longer use them.

We too use CruiseShipCenters--the one in North York, Toronto--416-492-2789--we get advance notice of specials and have been very happy with them over the 5 years we have used them. I do not believe in paying the brochure price.
