Upgrades from BC

We are on Golden Princess on thanksgiving, and are happy with our BC room on Baja but left ourselves open for automatic upgrades. We would gladly accept an upgrade if it was like a mini suite or something but going to a cabin that is the same or little difference would seperate us from our family who is next door and probably not worth being moved. My question is where can one go from a BC, is it common to go to a mini suite.

I wouldn't go with an automatic upgrade in your case. You could end up with one of the BB balcony cabins on the Emerald deck at the stern. Your family would be at the other end of the ship and three floors away. There are two categories between your guarantee level and a mini suite. Lots of chances for them to give you an "upgrade" but only to a BB or BA cabin that's not any larger than your BC cabin.

I agree with the last post. I doubt that you will get an upgrade to an A (minisuite) category and I would not change your BC category for the BB Emerald Stern (didn't like the position of these at all).
You will be VERY HAPPY with the BC I am sure.

Don't do it. Princess isn't know for giving you an upgrade to a bigger cabin. Just the same room, but you already have a good place. I would stay where you are.
