Dick,
Just how tiny are the inside cabins on Sun Princess. I read that they are 135-148 sq. ft. Sounds very small. Can anyone tell me from experience if this is too confining for 2 people for a 14-day cruise? Any other comments about this ship welcome. Thanks.
Princess's standard cabins, whether inside or outside, with or withiout balconies, are adequate for their intended purpose -- a place to stow your belongings, to sleep, to wash, to change clothes, etc. -- but you probably will not want to hang out there for any significant amount of time. Then again, most of us don't go on cruises to hang out in our cabin when there's so much happening elsewhere throughout the ship.
If you are planning to spend a lot of time in your cabin (on a honeymoon cruise, for example), I recommend a suite or at least a minisuite. Unlike standard cabins, the suites have a separate sitting room with a sofa, a couple easy chairs, and a dining table and chairs. The minisuites aboard MV Sun Princess are a smaller suite with the same basic amenities.
Norm.
