Default Sun Princess Cabin Space

Just how tiny are the inside cabins on Sun Princess. I read that they are 135-148 sq. ft. Sounds very small. Can anyone tell me from experience if this is too confining for 2 people for a 14-day cruise? Any other comments about this ship welcome. Thanks.

Hi Dick,
You can find a layout of that specific cabin catagory at this site:

http://www.cruisestateroom.com/84793...hips-frame.htm

I hope this will clear up the issue on the size of the cabin. So far I have found that in all the cabins we've had including Princess, there has always been room to unpack and store luggage under the beds, so I hope this will work out for you, especially for a 14 day cruise.

Have cruised on Ocean Princess, one of the "Sun" class and they are wonderful, very easty to get around onboard, nicely layed out.

Have cruised on the Dawn Princess (2 times), Sun Princess (2 times), Ocean Princess (1 time) and Sea Princess (2 times).

They are great ships, nice layout. I've had anything from standard insides to suites. I had no problem at all with the insides for 7 days. Have done 14 days on an inside cabin on the Mercury and found it to be sufficient in size and storage.

Princess's standard cabins, whether inside or outside, with or withiout balconies, are adequate for their intended purpose -- a place to stow your belongings, to sleep, to wash, to change clothes, etc. -- but you probably will not want to hang out there for any significant amount of time. Then again, most of us don't go on cruises to hang out in our cabin when there's so much happening elsewhere throughout the ship.

If you are planning to spend a lot of time in your cabin (on a honeymoon cruise, for example), I recommend a suite or at least a minisuite. Unlike standard cabins, the suites have a separate sitting room with a sofa, a couple easy chairs, and a dining table and chairs. The minisuites aboard MV Sun Princess are a smaller suite with the same basic amenities.

Norm.
