Default golden/cruise director

Does anyone know who the cruise director is right now on the Golden?

John _______. Sorry I don't remember his last name. He wasn't very good--according to our tastes. Maybe others on board appreciated him more. Alistair was the CD on our previous cruise on the Golden. He was terrific.

I will be able to tell you definitely next weekend, we sail this Saturday on the Golden.

I do however believe it is John Lawrence, we encountered him on the Crown Princess Trans-Atlantic cruise in 2000. He was not our most favorite cruise director, but not the worst either.

Just heard from a friend on the Golden this week that the cruise director has changed. John apparently was okay for the Med and Canada/New England itinerary, but now that they are heading for the Caribbean I'm afraid they need someone more energetic. My friend didn't mention the new director's name. Only that the morning talk show was funny.

Just returned today from the Golden - 7 day Canada/New England.
Alastair Greener was the cruise director - just returned from his break.
IMHO he is one of the better ones for Princess.

YES!!! I hope this is right. He really was the best CD I have ever met! We sail on the Golden 01/04/03. I have heard that the shows haven't changed since last Nov. and I was a little disappointed about that. We caught most of the Song and Dance shows last time and we were hoping for new ones.

Anyone ever see the cruise director named Tim Donovan? He was on the Sun Princess in June. We are taking another Sun cruise in Jan. I wonder if he is still there?
