We were on the Star Princess to Mexico from 11/16 to 11/23. At the beginning of each show, an announcement was made to audio and video taping were prohibited, but that we could take as many still photos as we wanted and many people did take flash pictures. I don't know if the same holds true on the Sea Princess.
There was one performer on Golden Princess (and I can't recall who it was -- the magician, perhaps?) who specifically said to feel free to videotape his act. So, apparently, this can vary depending on the performers.
You will find the following statement printed in all the Princess Patter ads for the productions shows: "AUDIO OR VIDEO IS NOT ALLOWED DUE TO COPYRIGHT." They also make a verbal announcement prior to each show as well. Flash photography is also discouraged... and quite frankly, a flash is useless unless you are right up front anyway. You can certainly take non-flash still photos as long as you have a good line of sight... and if you've got a camera with a slow shutter speed and a very steady hand.
Here's a handheld, non-flash shot that I took during the performance of "Gotta Sing, Gotta Dance" on the Grand this past April.
