april 12 sailing

Anyone sailing on the Golden on April 12? We are taking our family (adults only) of 12 and have some questions about the ship, since it is our first time on Princess. What is the cost of the 'soda' card and how is it used? Which island, St. Martin or St. Thomas is the best 'bargain' for jewelry and liquor shopping? Which beach offers para-sailing--Magens Bay? Anyone take a taxi to Magen's Bay in St. Thomas, or Orient Beach in St. Martins? We are using personal choice dining for the first time, what is your opinion of this choice of eating--we will want to all be seated together for our evening meals. I have LOTS of questions, as you can see!! Any advice is WELCOME!!!!

Cruizlover... My wife and I will be sailing with you on April 12. Although we've been on the eastern Caribbean itinerary several times, I'm afraid I can't be much help with your specific questions. We have cruised on the sister ship, the Grand Princess, the past three years, so I may be able to answer some questions about the ship.
