Default Grand Princess or RCCL Radiance of the Seas

Having a hard time choosing between the two for a March 2004 sailing, Western route
We are a family of 4, but kids program not very important. We sailed on Grandeur of the Seas and both kids prefered to stay with us. In fact, neither one(6 & 10 at the time) would go to the kids program unless I went with them and stayed.
Both go to almost the same ports, difference being Princess Cays vs. Key West
Looking for class, and a bit of refinement. Better food too
prices are close too Cat AC on the Grand vs. Cat C on Radiance

Any opinions would be welcome

Hi Bluefish,
All I can say, is Radiance is the most beautiful ship I've sailed on. While I enjoyed our Golden Princess cruise, I think the kids may prefer the program on Royal Caribbean. I also loved the Windjammer cafe on Radiance, but then again Princess has 24 hour Horizon court and fresh water pools. Its a tough decision, but since you are going with the kids, I'd go with Radiance...

Enjoy either ship, they will both be a great family cruise!

I really loved Brilliance of the Seas which is a close to identical sister to Radiance. I didn't care for the Grand Princess that much, although I like Princess as a general rule. I would stick with Radiance this time around. She's a spectacular ship, there's lots to do, the food is good and the service is wonderful.

we've been on both, I would prefer the food and entertainment on the Grand, but I personally liked the Radiance ship better. She is the most beautiful ship afloat!! The Grand was too big for my taste.

Food better on Princess. Fresh water, heated pools are nice on Princess as well. Ships are usually nivcer on RCI.
