Bye Bye, Sea Princess....
I am sad because today, the Sea Princess completed her last cruise for Princess cruises. She is being transferred to P&O, will be refurbished and renamed the Adonia. The Sea Princess was the ship that got me hooked on cruising and is the only ship I have ever repeated. I will miss her.
Carnival Breeze with Ray B and Aerogirl 5/4/14!
I share your sentiments completely. This class of ship is tops! I was eqully disappointed to see sister MV Ocean Princess leave the Princess fleet last year. Fortunately, we still have two of the four sisters (MV Sun Princess and MV Dawn Princess) and two new ships (MV Coral Princess and MV Island Princess) that may be even better!
Now, if Princess stays out of Carnival Corporation's grasp, we'll be set....
I sure wish I could have sailed her last one, I was on her inaugural voyage !
Princess Cruises is the agent in North America for sister line P&O Cruises. Thus, you can book cruises aboard both MV Adonia (foremrly MV Sea Princess) and MV Oceana (formerly MV Ocean Princess) through your travel agent and Princess Cruises!
BTW, MV Oceana offers 14-day Caribbean itineraries all winter that look absolutely wondeful!
I to wish Princess could have stayed independent. That did not happen.
I think Carnival will be a good fit for Princess. I have a day to day relationship with them they need some help in areas that Carnival is GREAT. Like back office stuff that most people dont know about. Unless your an agent. Like refunds...it can take Princess up to 8 weeks to get money back to clients. I canceled my Carnival Cruise and in 3 days I had my money put back on my credit card. And more.
So lets see what happends. I wish they would get back the "The Love Boat"
