Default Cabins on Sun Princess?

We booked a Southern Caribbean itinerary on the ship for November. We chose a BC cabin with balcony. Was this a good choice? We are midship, Caribe deck. Are the half walls under the railings on the balcony solid or see through? Does the BA or BB have a clear wall under the railing? Is the difference the usual location, location, location stuff, or is there really a difference?
Thank you very much.

DesrtDrmr,

Personally, I'll take any cabin that's on the ship. Cabins that are not on the ship are best avoided....

DesrtDrmr,

Sorry that I missed the other part of your querry on the first round.

Are the half walls under the railings on the balcony solid or see through? Does the BA or BB have a clear wall under the railing?

The opening on each balcony of MV Sun Princess actually is a large cut-out in the exterior of the ship. There's a solid steel panel below the rail in all categories -- including the aft suites.

Norm.

a balcony cabin on the Caribe deck on the Sea Princess is a great cabin. That's what we had on our last cruise and totally enjoyed it. The Sea Princess is a great ship very easy to get around. The balcony and cabin are a nice size.

Thank you all for your considered answers and opinions.
We are really looking forward to trying this ship as we have read so many nice things about this class. The cruise booker on the Star said it was his favorite because of the teak loungers on the Promenade Deck.............I'm picturing the same type of loungers as we've seen on HAL. Lovely to look at, but not that easy to get into, unless you move the leg support.......... It's fun to pretend that we are in an old movie................does anyone else do that?
