There are no real perks anymore in the suites, butlers were done away with a few years back. Room service is available 24 hours a day in all rooms.

There are a few perks when staying in a full suite.
Each afternoon they bring appetizers to your cabin at about 4:00.
They also provide you with the initial bar set up.
Instead of packaging your shampoo, etc in cardboard containers, they use plastic bottles. You also get to use plushier robes.
In ports where you tender to shore, you are given a pass so you don't have to wait in line.
You may order from the dining room menu when ordering from room service.
When it is time to disembark, you are invited to wait in your room for your color to be called instead of waiting in a public area.
They also honor your dining requests. For instance if you want second seating or a table for two, etc.
There is no longer butler service in suites, but we have been very happy with our cabin stewards.
I think that about sums it up.

Really when it comes down to it...all you get is a few bucks worth of mini-alcohol bottles, a few beers and sodas, and shampoo that comes in mini plastic bottles. Anyone can order from the dining room menu, and anyone can have appetizers delivered at anytime (24hr room service).
Also just because you are in a suite does not guarantee you no waiting for tenders (early excursions go first) and honeymooners and others celebrating special occasions may be given priority to specific tables..I've seen it happen!

So if you're going for the suite for the perks, any room on the ship can offer you basically the same things! But....it is fun to have them for a week!

You also forgot some important perks. Fresh flower arrangement, free laundry and dry cleaning, free internet service and the best perk of all is the wonderfully large bathroom with separate oversized tub and shower and the huge balcony. Room service breakfast and cocktails at sunset. We will never do it any other way. More room to move in the room and a second TV for the kids. With four people it was great!

Nice to have that free dry cleaning and laundry service......oh yeah and free internet access. :-)

These things combined with the large room and balcony really make it hard to go back to a smaller room! (IMHO) ;-)

Don't need a suite for the bennies anymore. If you have 16 or more cruises with Princess you are at the ELITE LEVEL and get the following regardless of cabin category:
Priority Tender Embarkation - As a well traveled guest with Princess, you have the opportunity to travel ashore quickly and without waiting in line, by taking the priority tender. This will be the first tender ashore, and, by showing your Elite Cruise Card, you may be assured a seat.

Shoe Polishing Service - Your shoes will be polished upon request - this service is complimentary.

Complimentary Dry Cleaning & Laundry Service - Upon request, your cabin steward will organize your laundry to be cleaned/dry cleaned - compliments of Princess Captain’s Circle!

Complimentary Mini Bar Set Up - Your stateroom mini bar will be set up according to your personal preferences. If no preferences have been indicated in your Member Profile, the standard selection will be given. Drinks will be refilled upon request and you will only be charged for the additionally requested drinks consumed.

Deluxe Canapés Selection - You may receive, upon request, a complimentary selection of deluxe canapés specially created by the Chef, delivered to your stateroom on formal night. This benefit can be ordered through room service and should be requested at least 6 hours prior to the desired delivery time.

Afternoon Tea - Complimentary afternoon tea may be served in your stateroom, should you wish. You may request this via room service at least 6 hours prior to the desired delivery time.

Upgraded Bathroom Amenities - Your stateroom bathroom will be stocked with the upgraded amenities reserved for Suite guests.

10% Boutique Discount - Our Boutiques are second to none for choice and gift selection. Now, as an Elite Member, take advantage of a 10% discount storewide to buy those extra gifts for all your family back home! Your Cruise Card is your key to this wonderful benefit,- simply show it when you make any purchase, and our Boutique Staff will automatically deduct 10% from your purchase price.

Complimentary Wine Tasting - Our Wine Tasting Events are popular and many of our members attend, so we have made arrangements to pick up the cover charge for you! Space is limited at these events so, should you wish to attend, you must confirm with the Circle Host who will contact you at the beginning of your cruise.
Happy Cruising!!

I guess we all need to keep cruising Princess. My kids thought the High Tea on our balcony was really cool. Way too much food though. On lobster night we ordered 4 tails for appitizers and they sent 4 dinners (8 tails plus dinner) did I say too much food. I did love the pink linen table cloth too. I miss that at home. And the guacamole and salsa. Yum. Great weather to all sailing!
