I've only done traditional dining on Princess and have chosen Personal Choice this time. There will be my husband and I and our 17 y.o. daughter. When we arrive at the dining room will we be seated at a large table with others, or will we have to sit by ourselves? While I'm looking forward to choosing from among the various restaurants on the Grand and eating at whatever time suits us, I would miss the opportunity to meet others over dinner - I know some people dislike that part of cruising, but I enjoy it very much.
When you arrive at the dining room to be seated, just tell the head waiter that you're willing to be seated at a large table with others and they will accommodate you. We just returned from the Grand Princess & had personal choice. We also like to meet others at dinner & sat at a table for 8 or 10 every night. We actually got seated ahead of others who were waiting for tables for two or three. Enjoy your cruise!!!
