Default Capt. Larry

For those of you who have gone whale watching with Captain Larry, would you please tell me if his boats are fully enclosed (do the windows open)? I only ask because I'm not great at taking pictures through glass. Thanks!

Hi Cal,
If I remember correctly, yes the windows open, but were closed because when moving fast the water will come in. You can go out on the back in the open and take pics, he also has an upper deck you can climb up and take pics, especially once you are at where the whales are, we just stayed outside the whole time, it was great, got lots of good pics. Attached a "whale" pice :-)

donna...heard the different boats, e.g., capt. larry, dolphin, jet boat etc. radio each other upon sightings to share...this true? thus all boats in area will be able to see (because we're not on capt. larry but whale watchers by jet boat also guarantees sightings). thanks...liked your picture!

Tokk a Whale watching tour with Princess. They do radio each other and we weere told by the crew that they send spotters out in the morning to scout things out for that day.

Saw 5 groups of humpbacks. Most were bubble feeding and 1 baby came all the way out of the water. Will have that info on my Island cruise review in a few days.
