It's a good thing your not booked on any of the Sapphire's first 4 cruises as they've been cancelled - the ship will not be ready in time due to that fire they had during building.

We booked late in the season hoping that the ship would be ready and some of the glitches might be taken care of. We didn't realize that they had cancelled some of the May cruisedates already. Thanks for letting us know. Maybe we will call Princess tomorrow to see if they have any idea if the ship will be ready at all next summer.

You don't expect to get anything but a pat answer from Princess, do you? (G) I think that by late summer you'll be OK.

I found out that what Princess did was to move everyone from the Sapphire to the Diamond Princess for those 4 cancelled cruises and they gave all those moved a $50 cabin credit. Not a lot of credit but if the only change was to another ship, not a big deal either.
