Christmas At Sea

Has anyone done the round trips out of LA where one is at sea for both Christmas and New Years? I know they decorate the ships very nicely but is there anything special for kids on these kinds of cruises?

Also, what hotels near the LA port offer safe parking with an overnight stay for the duration of a cruise and shuttle service?

Santa will come on Christmas day to see the kids. There will be plenty to do for kids.

There's also usually some gifts for the kiddies, and carolling in the atrium on Christmas Eve.

Probably one of the reasons the prices are so high for such a cruise?
